China Shenhua operates power plants with a total installed capacity of 37.9 GW, of which 36.82 GW are coal-fired, 950 MW are gas-fired, and 125 MW are hydraulic. The company puts green, low-carbon and clean production as a priority in its power business. All of its coal-fired generation units are equipped with desulfurization and denitration installations, leading to 100 percent ultra-low emissions in all its conventional units. China Shenhua has proactively contributed to the Belt and Road Initiative, and its low-emission coal-fired power projects in Indonesia have become a model and benchmark among Chinese companies seeking to “go global.”
