The Research and Application of Key Technologies for Surface-Underground Collaborative Monitoring and Intelligent Early Warning of Coal Spontaneous Combustion in Close Coal Seams Mining, undertaken by the Ventilation Research Center of Shendong New Energy Technology Company, won the second prize in the 2025 Green Mining Science and Technology Progress .
The project addressed the pains that it is hard to detect and early warn the coal spontaneous combustion in close coal seams, and has realized real-time and precise prevention and control of such hazards. The technology was successfully applied in Daliuta and Bulianta Coal Mines, significantly enhancing safety capabilities of the mines.
The Green Mining Science and Technology Award is an important industry award registered with the Ministry of Science and Technology. The award represents high industry recognition for the technical value and application effect of Shendong’s project.
