Recently, at the Indonesia Top Human Capital Awards (Top HC Awards) 2025 ceremony held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, Java Power Plant won the Top HC Investment Award 2025, Top Achievement Award 2025 and Top HC Leadership Award 2025 for its outstanding practices in the field of human capital.
The Indonesia Top HC Awards aim to recognize enterprises and individuals with outstanding performance in human capital management. The judging committee, composed of industry experts, focuses on the achievements in areas such as the synergy between human capital and corporate strategy, communication effectiveness, cross-stakeholder collaboration, organizational value establishment, and the improvement of employees’ quality and competence.
The Plant has always regarded talents as the most valuable asset of the enterprise, adhering to the talent-first philosophy, and continuously deepening the development and management of human capital to provide solid talent support for promotion of the “Three Transformations”. It actively advances talent localization and internationalization, with a focus on strengthening the cultivation and selection of young talents. Based on its existing training experience, the Plant has significantly increased investment in training in language, safety, technology, and skills simulation, cultivating over 100 megawatt-level power technology professionals for Indonesia. Taking the Operation Department as an example, the localization rate has reached 75%, with multiple Indonesian employees promoted to key positions such as chief operator and deputy shift supervisor.
Additionally, the Plant has optimized the talent structure of its “Three Teams”, continuously carried out whole-process post evaluations for all staff. Meanwhile, through the reform of the post and performance management system, it has fully stimulated employees’ potential and successfully built a team of management professionals, technical experts and skilled talents with global vision, strong execution and solid professional competence.
