Recently, the Risk Assessment Report on Geological Hazards for the Dongsheng East—Taigemiao Railway Project of Baoshen Railway was passed by experts from the Geological Survey Institute of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, providing sufficient basis for land use procedures.
As a key railway collection and distribution project under Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s “14th Five-Year Plan” for railway development plan, the project actively responds to the national “dual carbon” policy, focusing on pursuing green development that prioritizes eco-environmental conservation, and establishing a new coal transportation network under the new circumstances. It is a crucial measure to implement the national energy security strategy, ensure policy implementation of “cargos carried by trains and ships instead of trucks”, fight for blue skies, and address the final hurdle for coal outbound transportation channel. The project plays an important role in improving regional railway network layout, integrating logistics resources, strengthening the role as a regional logistics hub, and addressing shortfalls in regional coal outbound transportation.
