To consolidate and deepen the tradition of joint construction between enterprises and communities, on March 21, youth volunteers from Shuohuang Railway visited the No.5 Experimental Primary School in Suning County to conduct public outreach activities.
As an edutainment activity, the event conveyed the corporate culture and philosophy as well as the fulfillment of social responsibilities of CHN Energy, along with railway safety knowledge, and the development achievements of Shuohuang Railway’s heavy-haul technology to more than 200 teachers and students through various activities such as thematic promotional videos, lecture presentations, science popularization lectures, and interactive teaching. In particular, the company’s achievements in fulfilling the social responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise; serving the Xiong’an New Area; and promoting the development of Huanghua Port as a comprehensive modern port were showcased vividly during the science popularization lecture. In addition, the main processes of large-scale logistics operations and the importance of road protection were introduced to students in a straightaway manner. In the interactive teaching section, youth volunteers engaged deeply with students to demonstrate the Heimlich Maneuver and teach this important first-aid skill to students. Moreover, interesting quiz games about railway knowledge were set up to deepen students’ understanding and memory of railway knowledge.
This public outreach activity is a vivid testament to the company’s active fulfillment of social responsibilities and corporate responsibility. It plays a positive role in strengthening the relationship between the railway and the community, enhancing the company’s public welfare image, and improving its social reputation.
