Recently, Guangdong Taishan Power Plant organized an activity themed “Caring for the Hometown of Overseas Chinese, Supporting Impoverished Students”, raising a total of RMB 18,060 for stipend to poor students in Taishan City. The Plant has conducted student aid activities for 23 consecutive years, accumulating over RMB 550,000 of stipends and assisting 1,131 students.
During the event, employees of the Plant generously donated to impoverished students, delivering love and warmth through practical actions. Display boards were set up at the event to showcase the plant’s commitment and contributions to student aid. Featuring vivid pictures and detailed descriptions, the boards illustrate every effort the plant has made in student aid over the past 23 years, demonstrating the Plant’s fulfillment of its social responsibility to illuminate the light of hope for impoverished students. This has not only moved the on-site employees, but also called for more engagement in charitable activities.
The plant has consistently demonstrated its sense of and commitment to social responsibility through various volunteer service activities, including paired-up assistance, educational fundraising, and caring for the elderly, bring more positive energy and hope into the society.
