On January 18, volunteer from Baorixile Coal Mine responded to a public appeal for blood donation, contributing 400 milliliters of blood without hesitation to extend a helping hand to those in need.
On that day, volunteer Zhao Jinxu received a message on his phone requesting urgent help for a 68-year-old woman who needed B-type blood for surgery due to a fracture. Responding promptly, Zhao contacted the patient’s family for confirmation, and immediately went to the Hulunbuir Blood Donation Station. As soon as he arrived, he filled out the registration form and actively cooperated with medical staff for blood pressure measurement, blood type testing, and preliminary blood screening, among other preparations for blood donation.
“I was glad that I passed the blood examination. Watching 400 milliliters of fresh blood flow slowly into the blood storage bag, I thought about how my blood could help an aunt I had never met before recover soon. I feel that this is a special encounter.” said volunteer Zhao Jinxu.
Since 2015, Zhao Jinxu has donated blood six times, with a total donation exceeding 1900 milliliters. He continues to participate in volunteer services, spreading love and care to warm society through activities such as voluntary blood donations, philanthropic endowments, and community services.
