On August 20, Shendong Coal’s Yujialiang Coal Mine joined hands with Erlintu Town New Era Civilization Practice Center to carry out an activity for mutual help and mutual promotion in an effort to fulfill its social responsibilities. This move also helped elevate the company’s brand reputation in promoting ethical and cultural progress.
Members of Yujialiang Coal Mine’s paired assistance team conducted a thorough survey on the development of Abautu Village in Erlintu Town as well as the production and living conditions of local villagers, and gave detailed explanations on the content, methods, objectives and assistance plans of the activity. Besides, they donated yangge (a folk dance popular in northern China) costumes, musical instruments and audio equipment to the villagers, and provided scholarships totaling 3,000 yuan and school supplies worth 2,000 yuan for two poor college students in the village.
Since the launch of the mutual help and mutual promotion campaign, Yujialiang Coal Mine, as a Provincial Pioneer in Civilization of Shaanxi, has fully leveraged its own advantages to carefully fulfill its responsibility in poverty alleviation, playing an exemplary role as a centrally administered state-owned enterprise. Based on the objectives of relevant assistance programs, it has been dedicated to solving the difficulties faced by local people. Every year, the company organizes volunteers to offer help to villages for which it provides paired assistance through concrete actions, making contributions to rural revitalization.
