Baoshen Railway has unveiled a rural revitalization demonstration project in Ulanji Third Village, Burhantu Town, Kundulun District, Baotou City, as a way to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
Burhantu Town, in the west of Kundulun District, is the core carrying area of new material and new energy industry development in the suburbs of Baotou, a famous industrial city in China, as well as the “back garden” for industrial investment in Kundulun District. In recent years, leveraging its advantageous location and coordinating its agriculture-related resources and the ecological resources of Daqing Mountain, the town has blazed a new path of rural revitalization and development that promotes agricultural development with industrial development and stimulates rural revitalization through urban development. Against the backdrop of the ongoing campaign of “10,000 enterprises prospering 10,000 villages”, Baoshen Railway, as an enterprise settled in Baotou, has been actively promoting social welfare. Shouldering important responsibilities as a centrally administered state-owned enterprise, it joins hand with stakeholders to contribute to the high-quality development of rural areas.
The rural revitalization demonstration project launched by the company mainly consists of the “Natural Secrets” Agricultural Experiencing Hall (Ulanji Research and Education Base) and the Shared Kitchen, aiming to promote the establishment of a “village collective + cooperative + farmer” integrated mechanism in Burhantu Town. With focus on the five major industries for rural revitalization, the project strives to create a better future for rural areas by carrying out comprehensive agricultural and cultural tourism programs such as parent-child interactions, outdoor sports, agricultural experiencing, camping and barbecue, and B&B hotels. After the completion of the new project, Ulanji Third Village in Burhantu Town is expected to receive 30,000 tourists a year, and the per capita income of local people will increase by 4,000 yuan.
