According to the results announced on July 25 by the China CSR Report Rating Expert Committee, Shendong Coal’s Sustainable Development Report 2022 was rated as an excellent corporate social responsibility (CSR) report.
Over the years, the company has insisted on combining its CSR work with corporate strategy formulation, management and operation, and built a distinctive CSR index system that encompasses more than 130 qualitative and quantitative indicators. Moreover, it has constantly updated its CSR strategy, adjusted the key areas of social responsibilities based on the new strategic framework centered around the new value target range, and explored new management models and new paths in CSR practice. By doing so, it has ensured accurate responses to key issues that have a significant impact on the company’s business and stakeholders.
The company has also improved the “decision-management-implementation” three-level interconnected communication and coordination mechanism for CSR management, actively organized and participated in CSR-related research, training and exchange activities, and focused on improving its ability to fulfill social responsibilities. In 2022, the company participated in the compilation of the Blue Book of Social Responsibilities in the Coal Industry (2022) and the Guidelines for Social Responsibilities in the Coal Industry, making great contributions to promoting CSR fulfillment across the industry.
