On May 4, following the call of the Office of the Capital Cultural and Ethical Progress Committee, the headquarters of China Shenhua organized a traffic guide volunteer activity at the intersection between Ande Road and Guolouwai Street in Beijing. During the event, volunteers got on the road to smoothen the traffic for pedestrians and non-motor vehicles. The effort not only promoted fine ethical standards but also demonstrated China Shenhua’s sense of responsibility as a centrally administered state-owned enterprise.
That day marked China’s Youth Day. As the program’s first volunteer service day, young employees of the company voluntarily participated in the event. Wearing the company’s volunteer uniforms, they guided the traffic and helped those in need at crossroads during rush hours. Many passersby came to praise the volunteers and express their recognition of China Shenhua’s efforts to fulfill its social responsibilities.
