Huanghua Port Provides Emergency Aid for Seriously Ill Sailor aboard XU YANG 19

Recently, the shipping management center of Huanghua Port provided life-saving aid for a seriously ill sailor aboard the vessel XU YANG 19, buying the patient time to be delivered to the hospital for emergency treatment. This deed earned high acclaims from the ship owner, and demonstrated Huanghua Port’s commitment to its social responsibilities.

At 7:40 p.m. that day, the shipping management center received a message asking for help: A sailor on the vessel XU YANG 19 suffered from acute dyspnea and needed to be sent to the hospital immediately. The center immediately launched emergency response plan and dispatched the towboat Shenhua No.12 which sails fast and has rich experience in emergency aid to perform the rescue operation at 3# anchorage of Huanghua Port. The traffic controller guided the vessel XU YANG 19 and the towboat Shenhua No.12 to sail towards each other to shorten the time needed. Despite thick fog, the towboat Shenhua No.12 sailed in full steam while strengthening voyage lookout. At 11:45 p.m., it brought the seriously ill sailor back to the wharf, buying the patient time to receive medical treatment. It is reported that the sailor had been out of danger after treatment.

During the rescue process, Huanghua Port demonstrated a strong command system and efficient, quick emergency response capability, and saved the life of the patient. This showcased its strong sense of responsibility and spirit of dedication.
