Recently, the 3.2 MWp on-site distributed PV project of China Shenhua’s Guangdong Qingyuan Power Plant commenced full-capacity power generation, injecting green momentum into the economical and efficient operation of the units.

The project covers 11 work sites across production and non-production areas of the plant, makes full use of ground and building rooftop resources within the plant, and is connected to plant auxiliary power, with no surplus power exported to the grid”. Adhering to the principles of “safety first and high-quality development” and aiming to improve the full life cycle management process for distributed PV projects, the project has accumulated management experience in standardized construction systems, construction risk pre-control, safety and quality control, and full-coverage acceptance standards, fostering a virtuous cycle covering project acquisition, construction and commissioning. During construction, all participating parties overcame multiple difficulties, including complex rooftop structures, continuous rainfall, high-temperature summer construction, and tight windows for commissioning and grid-connection. They implemented full-process on-site supervision, enforced high standards for commissioning and acceptance, and carried out nighttime commissioning and power generation operations, achieving zero safety accidents and zero quality defects and ensuring the project’s smooth completion and commissioning.

After the project is put into full-capacity operation, its average annual power generation can reach 3.3907 GWh, which can meet the plant’s new electricity load demand, effectively lower the plant auxiliary power consumption ratio, and deliver sound economic, social, and environmental benefits, providing green support for the long-term stable operation of the power plant.
