In August, China Shenhua’s Shengli Energy recorded coal sales of 3.0302 million tonnes, surpassing three million tonnes in a single month for the first time and setting record high, thereby making a strong contribution to energy supply security.
Since the start of August, Shengli Energy has been making the most of the peak summer demand period, reinforcing safety management to ensure stable production and supply, while refining operational organization to lift sales and efficiency. These efforts have yielded positive results across its production and operations. The Company has tightened accountability for safety, combining on-site inspections with video surveillance to step up the correction of unsafe behaviors and the elimination of potential hazards, and has enforced strict standard operating procedures at the worksite, effectively mitigating safety risks. It continues to pursue lean production, enhance stable output with improved quality, and balance safety with supply obligations, as well as coordination between production and maintenance. Based on geological conditions, customer requirements, and storage capacity, the Company adopts flexible production schedules to achieve optimal alignment between equipment capability and productivity, and between product quality and profitability. Shengli Energy has also strengthened coal supply management, exercised precise quality control, and made full use of separate silo storage and loading. Average coal production efficiency has exceeded 2,400 tonnes per hour, ensuring efficient output, stable inventory, and consistent quality, all of which support sustained high-level sales.
Moreover, Shengli Energy has enhanced coordination in sales operations, analyzed market trends, tracked customer behavior, stepped up customer outreach and railway liaison, and optimized loading arrangements. As a result, the Company set multiple records in the month including monthly sales of 3.0302 million tonnes, railway shipments reaching 2.1464 million tonnes, and daily sales of 121,400 tonnes.
