On September 16, CHN Energy’s Wuhai Team was rated as a Grade-I Standardized Mine Rescue Team by the Mine Rescue Team Standardization Rating Working Group of the Rescue Command Center of the Inner Mongolia Bureau of the National Mine Safety Administration.
The assessment covered training and drills, equipment and facilities, operational work, rescue preparedness, medical first aid, technical operations, comprehensive physical fitness, and quasi-military drills. Through on-site inspections, document reviews, and on-site assessments, the working group conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the team’s standardization development and ultimately rated it as a Grade I Standardized Mine Rescue Team.
CHN Energy’s Wuhai Team is the only professional mine emergency rescue team in western Inner Mongolia. It is primarily responsible for emergency rescue operations at coal and non-coal mining enterprises under Wuhai Energy and around Wuhai City. It also undertakes geological and earthquake disaster rescue missions in Wuhai City, Bayannur City, and Alxa League, as well as forest and grassland firefighting and flood rescue missions in Wuhai City. Adhering to the principle of “enhanced preparedness, rigorous training, proactive prevention, and active rescue,” the team continuously improves the quality of its rescuers and its comprehensive rescue capabilities, with equipment approaching the domestic benchmark. It has strengthened standardized team development, carried out regular training with science-based approaches, and made realistic operational training and emergency drills routine. The team has accumulated extensive emergency-response experience in responding to coal mine fires, floods, and gas accidents. It has taken part in over 6,000 safety-related technical operations and emergency drills, including gas drainage, unsealing fire zones, opening sealed sections, restoring ventilation, roadway exploration and anti-ventilation exercises, and rehabilitated more than 50,000 meters of underground roadways. With a strong sense of responsibility and dedication, it has made positive contributions to mine safety and the safety and stability of the surrounding areas of Wuhai.
