As of July 31, China Shenhua’s Baotou Chemical had produced a cumulative total of 203,000 tonnes of methanol products for the month, surpassing the monthly production target and achieving the highest output in its history.

The Company resolutely implemented the corporate guidelines for energy supply assurance during the peak summer demand period, focusing on safe and stable operations, and strengthened production organization and management across the entire value chain. In strict compliance with the production schedule, it coordinated planned maintenance of gasifiers, dynamic load adjustments, and routine equipment maintenance, ensuring precise alignment of operating parameters between upstream and downstream units. As a result, the stability rate of production conditions and the product quality assurance rate continued to improve. To counter the adverse effects of extreme weather such as high temperatures and heavy rainfall on equipment operation and production safety, the Company stepped up equipment patrols and flood-control measures. Management personnel at all levels, together with frontline work teams, increased inspection frequencies and enforced a closed-loop mechanism of “discovery, registration, rectification, and acceptance”, promptly addressing all identified safety risks. Concurrently, the flood emergency response plan was refined; emergency supplies such as drainage pumps, sandbags, and water barriers were fully stocked; specialized flood drills were conducted; drainage systems in critical areas, including process units and tank farms, were thoroughly checked; and preemptive actions such as cleaning drainage channels and reinforcing low-lying sections were completed ahead of time, effectively mitigating the risk of flooding.

Furthermore, the Company persistently advanced comprehensive safety training for all employees, organizing routine monthly assessments of “know-how, capability, and proficiency”, hazard identification exercises, emergency fire drills, and other initiatives. These efforts reinforced employees’ sense of being the “primary responsible parties for work safety” and enhanced both operational discipline and emergency response skills. At the same time, the Company tightened oversight of contractor activities throughout the entire work process, rigorously controlling qualification vetting, safety training, and performance evaluations, thereby curbing the “three violations” (unauthorized command, unauthorized operation, and breach of labor discipline) at their root and ensuring that all worksites remain safe and under control.
