On July 26, China Shenhua’s Xinjiang Energy achieved a daily coal railway loading and transport volume of 40 trains totaling 135,500 tonnes, setting a new record for single-day coal dispatch volume.
Since the onset of the hottest period of summer, sustained high temperatures across much of Xinjiang has driven up regional energy demand. The company has concentrated its efforts on the strategic priorities of “stabilizing sales, expanding markets, and strengthening operations,” intensifying a market-oriented marketing model customized for each mining area. Through precise policy measures and coordinated interdepartmental collaboration, the company has maintained a stable sales volume and steadily broadened its market channels. In active coordination with the Urumqi Railway Bureau, the company reinforced overall station coordination, monitored loading progress in real time, and streamlined the car placement and retrieval workflow on its dedicated railway lines, thereby enhancing loading efficiency throughout the entire chain. The electrification upgrade of the Zhundong Loop Line was completed and commissioned as scheduled, substantially improving traction capacity and throughput. Average daily loading volume increased by two trains since the upgrade, while per-train loading capacity and operational coordination were also improved, effectively unlocking the high-quality coal production capacity of the Zhundong area. While expanding throughput, the company also safeguarded the dispatch baseline at the Hongshaquan Loop Line, capitalizing on the advantages of its intelligent loading system and deepening the communication mechanism with railway operators. This enabled accurate synchronization of empty-car allocation with loading schedules, reduced train turnaround time at stations, and guaranteed efficient outbound transport from major mines. Since July, average daily loading at the Hongshaquan Loop Line has remained stable at 18.54 trains, consistently serving as a cornerstone for coal shipments out of Xinjiang.
Furthermore, to extend dispatch reach and strengthen supply chain resilience, the company integrated external transit station resources and established a comprehensive intermodal transport network combining “mainline rail, transit hubs, and road feeder services.” This opened up multi-point connectivity for core mining areas including Hongshaquan No. 2 Mine and Heishan Coal Mine, creating a dual-driven dispatch model of “direct loading at mines + pooled dispatch at stations,” which has effectively driven a steady increase in overall shipping volumes.
