Recently, the on-site project command team of China Shenhua’s Angtu Company, traveled to the ETT South Gobi Branch in Mongolia to formally sign the commencement confirmation for the TT expansion exploration project. Concurrently, the approval process for the earth-moving permit has been successfully granted, providing regulatory assurance for subsequent site construction and laying a solid foundation for the project’s overall advancement.

The TT mining area, located in South Gobi Province, Mongolia, is a core premium coal production region in the country, boasting substantial resource reserves and favorable coal quality, with great development value and significant industrial driving potential. This expansion exploration project is a key preliminary initiative by the Overseas Company to deepen practical Sino-Mongolian energy cooperation and promote phased resource development in the mining area. Its primary activities include coal resource exploration, detailed geological surveying, and resource reserve verification, with the objective of comprehensively determining the resource facts of the mining area and furnishing accurate geological data to support future capacity upgrades, mining layout optimization, and medium- to long-term development planning.

During the signing ceremony, the project owner, construction contractors, and other relevant stakeholders jointly confirmed the overall work plan, construction organization arrangements, work safety responsibilities, and quality management requirements. They also engaged in thorough discussions regarding project construction goals, schedules, and coordination mechanisms, further aligning their understanding and clarifying duties. On the approval front, the project team maintained close liaison with ETT Company, rigorously complied with all applicable laws, regulations, and approval procedures, and efficiently completed various preliminary data preparation and technical review tasks. The eventual issuance of the earth-moving permit signifies that the project is now ready for on-site construction.

The project team will coordinate construction operations with science-based approaches, enhance on-site lean management, and enforce all requirements for work safety, process control, and quality assurance. Adhering to high standards and pursuing high quality construction, the team will ensure the exploration project proceeds steadily and in an orderly manner as scheduled, with the goal of establishing both a safety demonstration project and an industry benchmark.
