Distributed-power All-electric Unmanned Mining Truck at Hongshaquan No.2 Mine, Xinjiang Successfully Completed First Trial

Recently, the EQ100E 100-tonne all-electric unmanned mining truck completed full-process no-load and full-load tests at Hongshaquan No.2 Mine of Xinjiang Energy, a subsidiary of China Shenhua. This marked a breakthrough in intelligent and green mining technologies, injecting strong momentum into the mine’s goals of improved quality and efficiency, energy conservation, emission reduction and stable safe production.

Tailor-made for harsh working conditions on site, the EQ100E all-electric mining truck has a load capacity of 100 tonnes. It is equipped with a MW-level distributed drive system, full-range unmanned control system and multi-mode fusion perception algorithm. These features enable steady operation amid dust and low visibility. The truck cuts power consumption with peak-valley charging and kinetic energy recovery on downhill runs under full load. It carries out intelligent functions such as obstacle detection and automatic avoidance with centimeter-level positioning accuracy for loading, unloading and parking, covering mining, transportation and overburden dumping. It operates smoothly alongside manually driven vehicles and auxiliary equipment in mixed fleets. Its working efficiency fully meets the standards of manual operation with outstanding safety and performance.

This test was conducted under actual complex working conditions at the mine. It verified key indicators covering terrain adaptability, full-process automatic operation, energy efficiency, safety redundancy and large-scale application potential. The field test proved stable power output and reliable control performance of the unmanned trucks, fully meeting the requirements for stable mine production.

The successful full-process trial stands as a key achievement in the development of smart mines and unmanned vehicle applications at Hongshaquan No.2 Mine. It integrates three core technologies of "distributed power, all-electric drive and unmanned driving", with great milestone significance.
