Recently, Luoyuanwan Wharf successfully completed the unloading of 5,050 tonnes of limestone from the vessel Xinronghai 3, its first non-coal cargo ship. This operation marks a critical step in the wharf’s non-coal business to transform from a single loading mode to a comprehensive service integrating both loading and unloading operations, effectively supporting China Shenhua’s integrated and high-efficient operation.

As the only wharf within China Shenhua’s port segment capable of handling 300,000-tonne bulk carriers, Luoyuanwan Wharf has already achieved stable operations in its core coal loading and unloading business. However, its non-coal operations had previously been limited. With ongoing adjustments in the regional economic structure and upgrades in port-side industries, demand for non-coal unloading services from nearby enterprises has been steadily increasing. The successful unloading of the 5,050-tonne limestone shipment from the Xinronghai 3 not only validated the wharf’s equipment compatibility and operational standardization in specialized non-coal unloading, but also broke through the previous operational bottleneck of offering only loading services in non-coal business. This achievement provides practical support for building a comprehensive market business system equally emphasizing coal and non-coal operations. It also addresses pain points such as high transportation costs and long delivery cycles for regional enterprises, further strengthening the wharf’s role as a regional shipping hub.
