On September 10, the Shenchi South Junction operated by Baoshen Railway Group’s Shenshuo Railway Company achieved a record-breaking 238 loaded train handovers, including 114 ten-thousand-tonne heavy-haul trains, setting a new historical milestone. This remarkable achievement demonstrates the robust capability and exceptional efficiency of China’s energy transportation sector.

As a vital passage connecting four major railway lines including Baoshen, Xinshuo, Shuohuang, and Daqin, the operational efficiency of Shenchi South Junction directly impacts the overall smoothness of China’s “West-to-east Coal Transmission” corridor. In response to growing energy transport demands, the company has scientifically implemented incremental plans, dynamically optimized train flow management, and fully explored the corridor’s potential. By strengthening coordination across the railway network, it achieved seamless connection of all operational procedures including “unbundling, marshaling, and dispatching”, with the focus on organizing 10,000-tonne heavy-haul trains, significantly enhancing the junction’s throughput efficiency. Emergency management measures were comprehensively reinforced, including regular multi-scenario drills and improved response mechanisms for extreme weather and equipment malfunctions, substantially boosting contingency response capabilities. Meanwhile, equipment maintenance units intensified inspections and upkeep of both infrastructure and mobile equipment, providing robust safety guarantees for high-density, high-intensity transport operations.

This breakthrough in transport volume marks a new level of transportation management at Shenchi South Junction, not only significantly enhancing the overall capacity of the main energy corridor but also providing solid support for ensuring the stable and secure supply of national energy resources.
