Recently, CHN Energy Jinjie Company’s No.5 and No.6 generator units were recognized as 4A-grade excellent 600-MW ultra-supercritical air-cooling units at the 2024 efficiency benchmarking results of thermal power units released by the China Electricity Council. In addition, No.1, No.2, and No.4 units were awarded 3A-grade excellent 600-MW subcritical air-cooled condensing units, marking 17 consecutive years of receiving honors, with a total of 51 units awarded.
The Company attaches great importance to energy conservation and consumption reduction, and makes in-depth efforts to optimize operational potential and efficiency improvement by promoting the implementation of the “three transformations” in active coal-fired units, including energy-conserving, heat-supply, and flexible operation upgrades. In 2024, the main steam temperature of six units increased by an average of 0.287°C year-on-year, the reheating temperature rose by an average of 0.22°C, and the reheater attemperating water flow decreased by 11.1 tonnes per hour, resulting in a reduction of approximately 0.778 grams of coal consumption per kilowatt-hour. Power consumption rates of electric feedwater pumps, air-cooled fans, and desulfurization decreased year-on-year by 0.023%, 0.003%, and 0.014%, respectively, with the equivalent available factor reaching 95.37%, 0.56% higher than the annual target.
The Company has consistently strengthened its generator unit efficiency benchmarking management, taking cost minimization and efficiency maximization as its goals. By closely monitoring coal consumption and plant power consumption rate, the Company organizes coal-fired power enterprises to thoroughly prepare annual efficiency management plans, set clear goals, and divide them into tasks. Monthly analysis of key indicators is conducted, with benchmarking against advanced domestic units in management, technology, and metrics. It refines minor operational indicator management, reinforces economic operation, strictly supervises energy-conserving methods, and implements high-efficiency maintenance. Furthermore, the Company promptly repairs energy-saving equipment defects, actively tackles energy consumption bottlenecks, and guides operators to adjust operations in real time with science-based and targeted measures, ensuring that the generator units operate in safe, stable, and optimal working conditions.
