As of May 13, Baoshen Railway’s Shenmu-Shuozhou Line has safely operated 10,281 10,000-tonne heavy-haul trains this year, totaling over 94 million tonnes of freight volume, continuing to inject strong impetus in ensuring stable energy supplies.
Since the beginning of 2025, Baoshen Railway has carefully planned and fully implemented the “1531+N” integrated logistics development plan, fully leveraged its strategic advantage as an energy supply corridor and taken its responsibility following the principle of “apt arrangement for every tonne of coal and every train” to expand coal sourcing channels from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. By strengthening coordination at key junctions including Shenchi South Station along the line and major loading stations, Baoshen Railway has effectively alleviated bottlenecks of transportation volume, revitalized existing transportation resources, and increased coal transportation. The Group makes full use of the flexible, high-efficiency “Guoneng” 8-, 12-, and 24-axle high-power AC locomotives, adopting diverse and adaptive train formations to maximize the deployment of 10,000-tonne train operation, ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the energy supply corridor.
Furthermore, Baoshen Railway has actively increased coal transportation and responded to adverse weather conditions including strong winds and blowing sand, and intensive railway construction. The Group strictly implements on-site and real-time management and control of actual conditions through immediate access to the front-line safe control measures, conducts regular operational training in extreme weather conditions caused by strong winds and blowing sand, and enhances train crew emergency response capabilities, effectively ensuring the safe operation of the 10,000-tonne heavy-haul trains.
