As of October 30, Shuohuang Railway had maintained safe operation of 100,055 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains, transporting 1.09 billion tonnes of coal to continuously empower energy supply.
Focusing on the safe operation of 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains, Shuohuang Railway has strengthened the construction of “dual control mechanism,” continued to promote risk identification and assessment for 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains, and formulated scientific and complete card-based control measures and standards. In addition, it has taken measures to innovate the man-machine application mode, realizing the “cross-unit, cross-model” extensive rotation of locomotive crews. It also manages to reduce the turnaround time of locomotives and improve the efficiency of transport organization. The company has upgraded and optimized the operation methods of heavy-haul trains more than 40 times, updated six versions of the operator reminder cards, and carried out automatic driving tests of 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains to realize modeled and refined operation. Besides, it has upgraded the component maintenance technology for 20,000-tonne locomotives, innovated and developed supporting maintenance facilities such as quantity maintenance system, automatic cleaning equipment, double-axle non-falling wheel lathes, and intelligent underbody maintenance robots, so as to consolidate the foundation of safe operation of 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains. Moreover, the company conducts deep research on longitudinal force of 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains, collects dynamics data in train operation in real time on a regular basis, and deepens study and judgement of safety risks in train operation to improve the operation environment and quality. It also innovates crew selection and training for 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains, implements a dual-master driver rotation mode, and has formed a unified heavy-duty talent training system. So far, the company has realized 131 shifts of dual-master driver rotation and provided high-quality personnel guarantee for the regular operation of 20,000-tonne heavy-haul trains.
