On September 24, Shengli Energy’s unmanned driving project completed loading for 358 trucks, and the cumulative loading volume this year exceeded 38,000 vehicles, marking a new high of its 24-hour production and operation efficiency of unmanned trucks without safety personnel.
Since the beginning of this year, in order to improve unmanned operation efficiency and ensure safe and stable operation of the project, Shengli Energy has organized many unmanned driving exchange and promotion meetings, and planned various tasks in a coordinated manner to form a joint force. Through comparing unmanned driving and manned driving across the whole links and process, the project team formed a list of problems that needed to be optimized urgently. It also upgraded and optimized the unmanned transportation system from the aspects of efficiency improvement and safety assurance through in-depth discussion of the comparison list of the research project, which has effectively improved the operation efficiency of unmanned driving and ensured the safe and stable operation of the project during the implementation process. In order to further improve the production efficiency of the unmanned driving system, the project team innovatively developed the multi-system integration technology, and made new progress in pre-parking and simultaneous soil discharge by multiple vehicles.
In terms of production operations, the project team upgraded the tractor shovel pre-parking function, and optimized the configuration algorithm parameters of excavator position planning to automatically form more reliable loading points. With the optimized loading operation process, the average entry and exchange time is reduced to about 2 minutes and 45 seconds, which effectively improves the work efficiency of trucks. In terms of multi-vehicle soil discharge, the unloading task can be independently assigned based on the dispatching platform. According to the real-time location of vehicles and the planning information of the soil discharge area, the on-board system can automatically calculate the unloading operation at an interval of three discharging positions, so as to ensure that the vehicles have sufficient safe unloading distance and guarantee the orderly, safe operations of follow-up vehicles. By optimizing the unloading process, the work efficiency has been increased by 50%. Besides, through combining with the pre-parking function, the overall operation efficiency has further improved.
Through continuous optimization of safety management measures, the company has gradually promoted the application and spread of the unmanned driving technology, reducing the driver staffing and transportation costs while effectively improving transportation efficiency and safety production management. This enables it to reap safety, economic and management benefits.
