As of October 15, the 10,000-tonne heavy-haul trains of Shuohuang Railway had been operating safely for 14 years, transporting a total of 2.13 billion tonnes of coal during the period and making great contributions to China’s “west-to-east coal transmission” project.
The operating 10,000-tonne heavy-haul trains account for 48% in the transportation structure of Shuohuang Railway, which has become an important engine for the company to increase its energy transportation capacity. Over the past 14 years, the company has always focused on the main business of heavy-haul train transportation. Relying on the joint construction platform of Party building, it has achieved cross-unit and cross-model rotation transportation with different depots coordinated to ensure safety, resource sharing, and energy supply, and made every effort to ensure safe, stable and reliable operations of 10,000-tonne trains. The company has always put work safety first, paid close attention to post responsibility, established and improved the safety management system, and strictly implemented the standardization of safe production operations and the construction of dual control mechanisms. It also continues to upgrade the control mode of heavy-haul trains, apply the latest LKJ-15 monitoring equipment for batch loading, and gradually develop the high-intelligent LKJ monitoring system, empowering the safe operations of heavy-haul trains. Moreover, the company has innovated the education and training model, formed a unified heavy-haul train training system, trained a total of 1,057 heavy-haul train drivers, and created a high-caliber steward team with strong professional capabilities. It has successively purchased more than 180 eight-axle and twelve-axle high-power AC locomotives such as the Shenhua and the Guoneng to provide a strong mechanical guarantee for energy transportation. With inertial fault rectification as the focus, the quality of equipment has continuously improved through strengthening the locomotive maintenance process, increasing the maintenance scope, enhancing process control and other measures. In addition, it has introduced first-class and advanced equipment such as intelligent and digitalized equipment, automatic cleaning equipment, and intelligent chassis maintenance inspection robots, and completed the development and application of the first double-shaft non-falling wheel machine in China, which has effectively improved the maintenance quality of heavy-haul locomotives.
