Recently, the first fly-ash storage tank of Shendong Coal was completed and put into trail operation at the No.2 drift grouting station of Bulianta Coal Mine.
The fly-ash storage tank mainly consists of an ash storage tank, a silo roof dust collector, a pneumatic arch breaking system, an air compressor, a material rotary valve, a spiral conveyor and other parts, which can constantly and evenly send fly ash to the colloidal preparation machine according to the preset amount to make slurry and transport it to the underground slurry using sites through the pump so as to prevent fire.
In recent years, the company has continued strengthening the management of mine fire prevention and extinguishing, and carried out preventive loess grouting in the goaf areas in a regular manner. Considering the area around the mine suffers poor soil quality due to large contents of sand, gravels, and impurities like tree branches, the grouting effect is not good. After investigation, fly ash is proven to be one of the better grouting and fire extinguishing materials that can replace loess, which is non-toxic and pollution-free and boasts lower costs and better grouting effects.
