On February 8, the Batuta Station of Baoshen Railway Co., Ltd. completed the marshalling of nine heavy-haul trains in a single shift, creating a new record.
In the face of the surging demand of the coal market and the significant increase of the cargo loading needs since the start of this February, the station has maintained the growth momentum as it did in January and fulfilled transport tasks in a coordinated, rational manner. According to the actual conditions of its divisions, the station strengthened communication and contact with the scheduling command center to deploy freight trains in a timely manner. Based on the principle of fast arrival, fast loading and fast departure, it optimized the allocation of locomotives and personnel to maximally reduce idle time while streamlining transport plans, refining management plans, and clarifying the workflow. In this way, it has utilized the trains in a more efficient way. It deployed eight shunting locomotives to maintain high-efficiency operations at the same time while coordinating precise deployments. These measures enabled the station to achieve seamless connection of various operational links, improve the collaboration of workers, and make a new breakthrough by achieving transport volume more than 10,000 tons in a single shift, so as to better secure energy supply.
