As of August 8, Shangwan Coal Mine of Shendong Coal Group has set eight new production and outbound transportation records consecutively since 2022, demonstrating its responsibility for ensuring supply with practical action and remarkable performance.
On April 30, Shangwan Coal Mine loaded 13 trains of commercial coal, setting a new high for daily loading and outbound transportation for the mine. In May, the 8.8-meter ultra-high mining face advanced by 407.8 meters, clinching the highest monthly advance drilling footage. In July, the face advanced by 417.5 meters, refreshing the record. Also in July, 349 trains of commercial coal were loaded, setting a new high for monthly loading and outbound transportation for the mine.
Shangwan Coal Mine maintains the hardworking status of “taking preemptive action like fighting a decisive battle”, carefully arranges and meticulously conducts safety management, production organization, equipment maintenance and other work, and goes all out to ensure the steady coal supply.
1) Down-to-earth action for work safety: Shangwan Coal Mine insists on strict management of work safety, improves the list of 290 work safety duties for 198 positions at the three levels of mine leaders, administration organs and mine division teams, clarifies 3,338 assessment standards, and urges all employees to perform their duties according to the list from top to bottom. Identification and evaluation of safety risks, investigation and handling of non-conformance items, investigation and control of hidden dangers are under way in a well-grounded way. A total of 296 work tasks of significant risks, major risks, general risks and low-level risks are identified. 16,332 non-conformity items are investigated and handled. 919 hidden dangers are identified. With emphasis over “Safety and Skill”, under the training philosophy of “appropriate instruction for trainees to understand, remember and use”, Shangwan Coal Mine vigorously launches a training campaign of “Three-faceted Knowledge, Four-faceted Expertise and Seven-faceted Mastery”, strives to improve safety attainment of employees, and cements the foundation of work safety.
2) Down-to-earth action for production organization: Shangwan Coal Mine formulates Balanced Production Management Measures, sets forth 16 production management duties and eight malfunction inspection items, and assigns production responsibilities level by level. With focus on the roof and floor management of working face, the adjustment of support frame types, the speed of coal cutting, the monitoring of coal volume of conveyor and the control of coal quality, a detailed project quality control plan is developed. Coal seam tendency and direction changes are predicted ahead by 50 meters. Coal shearer drivers are promptly informed to adjust roof-based quantity and floor-based quantity in advance, which makes transition of the working face proceed smoothly and limits the duration of a coal cutting within one hour. Shangwan Coal Mine intensifies the daily shift acceptance assessment, supplements the details of the on-site assessment, improves responsibility hierarchy, achieves the closed-loop management of project quality, and lays a solid foundation for the purpose of safe and efficient production of the 8.8-meter intelligent fully mechanized ultra-high mining face.
3) Down-to-earth action for equipment maintenance: To produce at full capacity, Shangwan Coal Mine follows the objective of ensuring the stable equipment operation, makes clear-cut assignment of responsibilities, comprehensively examines hidden dangers of equipment, and achieves early detection, early reporting, early handling and early closed-loop management. With “maintenance and troubleshooting are the key to production assurance” as the tenet, Shangwan Coal Mine reviews the work orders for daily inspection and weekly inspection, reasonably excludes some unnecessary maintenance items, and shortens the maintenance duration. Extensive inspections and special investigations are carried out for vulnerabilities of the equipment system. Shangwan Coal Mine identifies and resolves the problems without delay, formulates special technical safety measures, and constantly delivers the equipment with higher reliability.
