Digital Intelligence’s Self-Developed Intelligent Port Models Were Officially Put into Operation

On May 6, the three self-developed intelligent models—Port Loading Allocation, Port Coal Blending, and Ship-Cargo Matching—were officially put into operation, achieving full-process smart operations that cover loading/unloading, coal blending, and scheduling, marking a significant breakthrough in China Shenhua’s independent innovation of core port technology.

This project has addressed key technical challenges, including multi-source heterogeneous data processing and dynamic optimization algorithm coupling. By innovatively establishing an AI-based intelligent scheduling system capable of generating loading/unloading plans within seconds, dynamically optimizing coal quality requirements, and intelligently linking ship cargo and resources, the models support comprehensive decision-making, dynamic optimized scheduling, and multi-dimensional data collaboration. By real-time collection of multi-source data, including cargo carrying capacity of the ship, berth status, and yard inventory, they automatically generate precise operational plans, reducing average berthing duration by nearly 20%.

As CHN Energy’s key technological innovation project, it has filed five national patents, filling gaps in China’s intelligent port scheduling technology. In addition, it provides a replicable and applicable innovative solution for the intelligent transformation of China’s ports, enhancing port coordination and real-time decision-making capabilities, and accelerating the upgrade of the digital and intelligent port operations.
