On September 1, the innovative outcome of Shuohuang Railway’s research project “Locomotive Wireless Reconnection Synchronous Control System Test Platform” passed the review by China Communications and Transportation Association, filling in the domestic void of wireless reconnection synchronous control system functional ground test equipment and reaching a leading level in China.
Through in-depth survey, research, and repeated tests, the company has successfully built software algorithms to simulate locomotive control instructions and real-time working conditions, and independently developed ground test equipment to replace locomotives to complete wireless reconnection synchronous control tests. The equipment is small and easy to operate. It integrates core components such as reconnection control unit OCE, wireless communication unit DTEL, network control module GWM, etc. It can realize the function verification of HXD1, SS4B, SS4G and other multi-model locomotive on-board wireless reconnection synchronous control system equipment and remote function verification of locomotives within the coverage area of wireless communication network. Its application of locomotive control instructions and working condition information simulation technology has reached the domestically advanced level and obtained the national invention patent authorization, filling in the domestic gap in terms of wireless reconnection synchronous control system functional ground test equipment.
After the test platform is put into use, it can help a locomotive reconnection test save a locomotive and three operators and reduce the test time from 2 hours to less than 1 hour, enhancing the operation efficiency by more than 50%. It is estimated that the platform can reduce average annual costs by more than 30 million yuan, thus constantly providing a strong support for the company’s innovation-driven development.
