At the recent 10th PROTECH ASIA 2023 held in Shanghai, Huanghua Port Company was awarded two honorary titles: demonstration unit of intelligent dry bulk port terminal construction of the year and demonstration unit of green port development of the year.
With the theme of “Promoting Green Intelligent Transformation Through Integration and Innovation,” the event focused on topics such as integration and innovation of port technology, automation upgrades, digital transformation, and sustainable development, aiming to accelerate the construction of smart ports in the Asia-Pacific region. Representative from Huanghua Port attended the summit and delivered a keynote speech titled “Advance High-Quality Development of Dry Bulk Cargo Ports with Green Intelligent Technologies.”
Committed to implementing the overall strategy of China Energy to build a world-class demonstration enterprise, Huanghua Port set its goal to grow into a “green, intelligent, highly efficient and safe world-class demonstration port.” To this end, it has strived to empower high-quality development with science and technology, developed a ship position measuring device using the 5G network and BeiDou satellite navigation technologies, and established China’s first whole-process automatic operation line for coal port, which improves the operation efficiency and quality while reducing the labor intensity of employees. Additionally, the company introduced the concept of “sponge city” to coal port and established an environmentally-friendly water system based on the surrounding two lakes and three wetlands to solve dust treatment and sewage treatment problems that had long plagued the coal port. Through these efforts, Huanghua Port has successfully explored a clean, low-carbon and sustainable development path suitable for coal ports and set a benchmark for green and intelligent development of dry bulk cargo ports.
