Recently, after a five-day trial operation, intelligent inspection robot has been put into formal use at Substation of Panel No.3, Shigetai Coal Mine, Shendong Coal Company.
Intelligent Inspection Robot is mainly composed of robot body, explosion-proof charging device, rail system and ground workstation. The robot body is equipped with detection devices, such as camera, infrared thermal imager, obstacle avoidance sensor, sound pickup & speaker equipment, smoke detector and methane sensor. With T-shaped track as the main support track, this robot could make reciprocating inspections in the track sections.
According to Zhang Jianrong, head of Electromechanical Operation Team No.1 of Shigetai Coal Mine, “In the past, manual inspection and fixed-point monitoring by fixed cameras was dominating, but it was labor-consuming, inefficient and not real-time focused. With limited coverage, fixed-point monitoring by fixed cameras fails to detect the working status of individual device and the whole site, resulting in low overall efficiency. At present, by applying intelligent inspection robot, not only the labor intensity of personnel is decreased, but also the work efficiency is greatly improved, ensuring the security and reliability of mine power supply.”
