Recently, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) announced the inaugural list of 194 Innovation China list of innovation bases, a roster that includes the 8.8-meter ultra-high mining face as an innovation base for innovation and entrepreneurship cultivation.
In line with the Notice of the Department of General Administration of China Association for Science and Technology on Recommending the Nomination for the First Batch of “Innovation China” List of Innovation Bases, Shangwan Coal Mine prepared application materials with a holistic summary of the intelligent construction of mines by highlighting the 8.8-meter ultra-high mining face. Through review by leading experts at all levels of the China Coal Society (CCS), the innovation base stood out from the coal companies, winning recommendation by CCS and final certification by CAST.
The CAST innovation bases serve as a collaborative mechanism of industries, universities and research institutes, and of transfer and transformation of sci-tech achievements, as well as a platform for channeling resources of “Innovation China”. In May this year, CAST formulated and issued the Measures for the Construction, Implementation and Management of the “Innovation China” Innovation Bases (Trial), aiming at regulating and promoting the construction of innovation bases by scale. According to the Measures, the innovation bases will rely on innovative companies, key universities, scientific research institutes, novel R&D institutions, industry technology research institutes, and innovation and entrepreneurship incubation parks.
Shangwan Coal Mine insists on the intelligent construction of mines, while leveraging the intelligent coal mining crew made up of undergraduates and the drive of innovation. It promotes the construction of the 8.8-meter ultra-high mining face as an innovation base, advancing new breakthroughs of the “secondary entrepreneurship” and bolstering the building of a world-class demonstration corporation.
