On June 13, China Media Group hosted the release and award ceremony of China Top 100 ESG Pioneer Listed Companies in partnership with authoritative institutions and agencies such as the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Economic Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the China Enterprise Reform and Development Research Association. At the event, the Annual ESG Action Report was released, and the list of China Top 100 ESG Pioneer Listed Companies was unveiled. China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd. made the list, ranking second in the mining industry.
In recent years, China Shenhua has continuously optimized its ESG governance system, strengthened ESG governance capacity building, and paid attention to the demands of stakeholders such as regulatory ratings. It discloses ESG governance performance in a targeted manner, actively seeks the integration of environmental social responsibility and economic benefits, and continues enhancing the resilience of corporate development. The company has been selected twice into Fortune magazine’s China ESG Influence List, the China ESG 50 list of Forbes China, and the ESG Pioneer 50 Series Index of Central State-owned Enterprises (SOEs), and won the Ram Charan Management Practice Excellence Award of Harvard Business Review (Chinese edition) and other honors, providing reference for ESG governance innovation and path for traditional energy industries and listed central SOEs.
