On November 23, the first “Golden Bull Awards” of the China Social Responsibility 100 Forum unveiled the finalists in its seven categories of awards, namely Pioneer Enterprises, Best New Startups, Decarbonization Pioneers, Governance Pioneers, Rural Revitalization Pioneers, Charity Pioneers, and Responsible Investment Pioneers. China Shenhua won the title of “Pioneer Enterprise.”
The China Social Responsibility 100 Forum, launched in 2016, is a public welfare mechanism initiated by leaders from government agencies such as SASAC and the National Development and Reform Commission, experts from research institutions and universities such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University, as well as renowned entrepreneurs from both home and abroad. It has evolved into a high-end platform for CSR in China. A total of 79 enterprises joined the competition for the first ESG Golden Bull Awards. The event aimed to explore best practice cases in ESG, promote mature ESG experiences, and provide demonstrative samples for ESG development in China, so as to bolster sustainable, high-quality economic development.
In recent years, China Shenhua has spared no effort to establish and improve its ESG organizational structure, optimize its ESG institutional management system, precisely expand relevant rating indexes, and constantly advance ESG informatization. Moreover, it has substantially improved its information disclosure level and continuously stepped up the regularization, standardization and informatization of its ESG systems, which helps it earn high acclaim and wide recognition from regulatory authorities, rating agencies, and stakeholders.
