On June 25, the world's most powerful locomotive "Shen 24", with capacity of 28,800 kilowatts for a single locomotive, has been in safe operation in Baoshen Railway Group for one year.
Over the past year, Baoshen Railway Group has made efforts to continuously improve the intelligent driving safety management of "Shen 24" through model application, risk analysis and definition, emergency response, education and training, and safety management. 33 technologies have been upgraded and transformed, including on-board network control system, static braking performance, external radio frequency electromagnetic interference, miniaturization of traction converter, enabling the “Shen 24” to run safely for 205,000 kilometers, pulling a total of 434 10,000-tonne heavy-haul trains and transporting 3.735 million tonnes of cargo, and the operation time exceeding 3,700 hours.
The locomotive has 16 technological innovation, with the world's largest capacity of 28,800 kilowatts for a single locomotive, the world's largest tractive force of 2,280 kN, the world's longest locomotive length of 106 meters, the world's largest number of axles and the advanced intelligent driving technology. “Shen 24” sets a new world record for traction power in rail transportation. "Shen 24" locomotive, a typical representative of the heavy-haul traction force, makes full use of a series of new technologies such as Internet +, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc., to show the world the intelligence in the control, detection, maintenance, transportation and management of China's heavy-haul railway.
