5G+ Unmanned Trucks of Zhunge’er Energy Showed in World Telecommunication & Information Society Day

On 16th May, Zhunge’er Energy, in its smart mining command center of Heidaigou Open-cut mine, showcased one of its smart mining technology, the 5G plus unmanned trucks, in the World Telecommunication & Information Society Day 2022. This was carried out by live telecasting, and Zhunge’er Energy has further contributed to the endeavor of smart mining.

The unmanned trucks research project by Zhunge’er Energy features the largest tonnage, the largest vehicle number, the most truck brands and types in China. The 5G network is the largest 5G dedicated sink project in China. The project was awarded the second prize in the fourth 5G Application Final Competition titled Zhanfang Cup.

The Company kicked off the 5G plus unmanned trucks research project in August 2021. Currently, the 5G network is able to fully cover an area of 54 km2 including the production face of Heidaigou Open-cut mine and the administration area. At the same time, 18 unmanned trucks are, based on 5G technology, marshalled with mining and extracting equipment and other auxiliary equipment.

The World Telecommunication & Information Society Day 2022 was held in Huhhot, Inner Mongolia. The theme of the event was serving the public welfare, enabling the real economy and benefiting the society. It was aimed to bring the joint forces of upper stream and down stream of industrial chains, provide strong engine for the healthy and rapid development of the ICT industry, and ultimately build a new pattern of high quality development in a fast manner and further contribute to the initiative of Digital China.
