In the 2021 S&P Global Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings released on October 17, China Shenhua Energy Company Limited took the second place, only next to Saudi Aramco, making the top three in the rankings for the first time.

Through the key financial indicators of asset value, operating revenues, profit and return on investment of each company in the last fiscal year, it calculates the rankings according to S&P’s specific formula. The Rankings aim at recognizing and encouraging energy enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to global energy.
