China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd was recently awarded “Best Company in CSR Reporting in the Coal Industry” by China National Coal Association (CNCA) at a conference to release 2021 corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports in the coal industry.
In a response to China’s goals to peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060, and benchmarking the new supervision regulations and rating standards in the industry, China Shenhua’s 2020 Report in Environment, Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance introduces the company’s performance in corporate governance, ESG regulation, products responsibility, safety and health, green empowerment, employee development, and public welfare. With accurate and comprehensive data and details, the report was highly recognized by industry insiders and investors.
The conference also released the Blue Book on Social Responsibility in the Coal Industry (2021) and the 2021 Social Responsibility Report on Listed Companies in the Coal Industry. The report showed that China Shenhua issued a total of 14 social responsibility reports, the most among the 40 coal companies included in the reports.
