The village-level animal-solar complementary PV assistance power station project in Hanggin Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, has recently completed its first revenue payout. Xirimorengacha supported by a donation from China Shenhua’s Zhunneng Group, obtained a total dividend of RMB 216,200, officially turning targeted assistance funds into a long-term, stable income stream generated by the solar power project for the gacha community.
The project is a key measure by Zhunneng Group to implement the photovoltaic assistance program of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and fulfill its social responsibilities. Zhunneng Group donated RMB 2.95 million to support Xirimorengacha Village in investing in the 5.79 MW village-level animal husbandry-photovoltaic complementary poverty alleviation power station in Hanggin Banner. The project was connected to the grid and began generating power in February 2025, with a 25-year operating period, covering 63 villages in 6 towns across the banner. From March to December 2025, the station generated a total of 8,248.32 MWh, laying a solid foundation for stable dividend distribution.
The dividend will serve as collective income for the Village and will be mainly directed to livelihood areas including households lifted out of poverty, public welfare jobs, rural living environment improvement, and the cultivation of distinctive industries. According to project estimates, during the operating period, the station can bring Xirimorengacha a stable income of more than RMB 200,000 per year, continuously providing both external support and self-sustaining momentum for rural development.
Zhunneng Group has deepened its self-sustaining assistance approach and explored a “photovoltaic+” industrial revitalization model. To date, it has rolled out 17 assistance projects across 15 gachas in Hanggin Banner and Jungar Banner, building a comprehensive assistance system covering industrial support, consumption-driven assistance, educational aid and volunteer services.
