On October 11, the feasibility reports of Zhunge’er Energy’s five projects passed the expert review. The projects are: the 100 MW photovoltaic project at open-cut mine reclamation area in Jungar Banner, the 5 MW distributed photovoltaic project at inner dump reclamation area in Heidaigou Open-cut Coal Mine, the 5 MW distributed photovoltaic project at northern dump reclamation area in Heidaigou Open-cut Coal Mine, the 5 MW distributed photovoltaic project at the abandoned site of coal conveying belt, and the 5 MW distributed photovoltaic project at Xiaoshawan water source.

To effectively explore and utilize the land resources in the mining area and promote the construction of photovoltaic power generation projects, Zhunge’er Energy planned to build photovoltaic projects by using the dumps of Heidaigou Open-cut Coal Mine and Ha’erwusu Open-cut Coal Mine. The 100 MW photovoltaic project and four 5 MW distributed photovoltaic projects will be built at the two open-cut mine dump sites, the abandoned site of coal conveying belts and the Xiaoshawan water source, with land areas of 262.6452 hectares, 9.7552 hectares, 15.426 hectares, 5.5522 hectares and 15.876 hectares respectively, all of which adopt the design of “power generation in blocks and centralized grid connection”. The four distributed photovoltaic projects will provide clean energy for the mining areas. The power generated will be consumed locally on the spot.

The 100 MW photovoltaic project in Jungar Banner is expected to produce an annual power generation volume of 188,262 MWh and save around 57,984.7 tons of standard coal annually; four distributed photovoltaic projects will produce 37,064 MWh of power and save about 11,415.71 tons of standard coal annually, which will make contributions to energy conservation and carbon emission reduction, thus helping achieve the strategic goal of “peaking carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060” and promoting green and low-carbon corporate development.
