On June 28, Huanghua Port completed the installation of shore power in all 19 berths that have been put into operation, taking the lead in realizing full coverage of the layout of high and low voltage shore power at the terminal in China.
Since the beginning of this year, the company has continued to strengthen the construction of shore power. In order to meet the different needs of ships coming into the port, the company newly added 3 sets of high-voltage shore power and 9 sets of low-voltage shore power to increase the power supply capacity of low-voltage shore power for 113 bulk cargo ships, on top of supplying the power of high-voltage shore power for 35 bulk cargo ships from different parts of China. After the high-voltage and low-voltage shore power are fully connected, it can supply 5 million kWh of electricity to ships every year, save 1,100 tonnes of oil for ships, and reduce carbon emissions by 3,500 tonnes.
