On June 29, the first set of mining wireless sensor monitoring system introduced by Shendong Coal was successfully operated at the No.12517 main and auxiliary two-channel tunneling working face of Bulianta Mine.

By changing the communication and power supply of traditional sensors, simplifying the layout of power lines and data lines and adding the remote infrared remote control function, the system effectively reduces equipment failure rates, decreases the labor intensity of operators, and improves the operation stability and maintenance convenience of the ventilation monitoring system. Advanced technologies effectively promote the reduction of front-line staff and improve the standardization of safe production.

"The use of the new wireless sensor has effectively reduced the input of labor costs, avoided excessive high-place operations, and greatly reduced the equipment failure rate. Both the accuracy of sensor data and the stability of the system have been greatly improved. The new system can save nearly 200,000 yuan in labor cost and equipment maintenance cost every year." said Wang Weiping, a monitoring technician at the mine.
