![]() Peak Season is coming up and coal prices increase gradually Beijing,2006-12-01 The second peak season of coal is coming up. Recently, the major ports at North China fall into a short coal supply because of the coal storage in winter and the tightened transportation by railways. Therefore, the coal prices soar in some provinces. It is said the spot coal prices at Ningbo in Zhejiang province go to peak recently and reach RMB750-760 per-ton, which is RMB40 higher than that as of the end of October. According to NDRC’s data, the national coal output within the first 10 months this year is about 1673 million tonnes, representing a increase of 12.2% over the same period in 2005.
